AIOps Consulting: AI for IT Operations and Incident Response

AIOps applies AI to IT operations: it groups related alerts, summarizes incidents, routes tickets and suggests likely causes. Remolda sets up one AIOps workflow on your monitoring and ticketing stack in six weeks for $9,800 CAD + HST.

In short

  • Price: $9,800 CAD + HST for the six-week AI Pilot Sprint: one AIOps workflow in production.
  • Typical first workflows: alert grouping and deduplication, incident summaries for the on-call engineer, ticket classification and routing, runbook suggestions.
  • Works on the tools you run: Azure Monitor, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management and similar.
  • The system suggests; engineers approve. Automated fixes stay limited to steps you list as safe.
  • Also covers monitoring of your own AI systems in production: answer quality, drift, cost and failures.

Your situation

AIOps helps IT teams that spend more time sorting signals than fixing problems. Typical cases:

  • Alert storms. One outage triggers hundreds of alerts, and the on-call engineer reads them one by one.
  • Tickets land in the wrong queue. The service desk re-routes them by hand.
  • Incidents start from zero. Past fixes exist in closed tickets, but nobody finds them at 3 a.m.
  • AI tools already in production. Nobody tracks whether their answers got worse after the last vendor update.

What an AIOps workflow does

WorkflowWhat AI doesEngineer's role
Alert groupingClusters related alerts into one incidentConfirms the grouping
Incident summaryWrites what is affected, since when, likely causeDecides the fix
Ticket triageClassifies, sets priority, routesCorrects misroutes
Runbook suggestionFinds similar past incidents and their fixesApproves the action

Microsoft describes Azure Monitor as using AIOps and machine learning to detect problems earlier and act on them with better context. The Sprint connects such features to your process and fills the gaps.

For how-to questions that clog the service desk, an internal AI assistant answers staff directly. Logs and metrics often need a data pipeline first.

What the AI Pilot Sprint includes

Baseline. Alert volume, time to acknowledge, misrouted tickets, from your tools.

One workflow in production. Built on your monitoring and ticketing stack, with language-model steps where they help.

Safe-action list. Actions the system may take alone, agreed and logged.

Security review. Access scoped to read-only where possible, with the measures the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security recommends for generative AI, such as strong authentication and timely patching.

Runbook and training. For the on-call team and the service desk.

How long it takes

Six weeks from kickoff. In our experience the usual split is one week for access and baseline, three weeks of build and testing on past incidents, and two weeks live. Security approvals for tool access are the usual cause of delay.

What it costs

The AI Pilot Sprint is $9,800 CAD + HST, fixed, for one workflow. Tool and model usage are billed by the vendor. For hosting questions, see private AI in Canadian cloud regions. All packages are on the pricing page.

Why Remolda for AIOps

  1. Your stack first. We use AIOps features you already pay for.
  2. Engineers stay in control. Suggestions by default, a short safe-action list.
  3. Measured. Alert volume and time to acknowledge against the baseline.
  4. Canadian rules in view. Incident reporting duties and privacy of log data considered in the design; see AI compliance.
  5. Fixed price. One workflow, six weeks.

How the work runs

The Sprint is the Implement step of the Remolda Cycle (Audit → Strategy → Implement → Empower → Evolve); ongoing tuning belongs to Evolve.

  1. Scope call. 30 minutes: tools, pain points, team.
  2. Access and baseline. Read access, past incidents.
  3. Build. Tested on past incidents before live use.
  4. Go live. Suggestions reviewed daily at first.
  5. Review. Measures against the baseline, then go / adjust / stop.

Frequently asked questions

What is AIOps?

AIOps stands for artificial intelligence for IT operations. It uses machine learning and language models on monitoring data, logs and tickets to reduce alert noise, spot problems earlier, summarize incidents and suggest causes and fixes.

How much does AIOps consulting cost?

Remolda's six-week AI Pilot Sprint is $9,800 CAD + HST for one AIOps workflow in production, such as alert grouping or ticket triage, with a runbook and training. Tool and model usage are billed by the vendor.

Do we need to buy an AIOps platform?

Often you already own part of one. Azure Monitor, Datadog, Splunk and ServiceNow offer AIOps features, some only in specific licence tiers. We start with what your licences cover and add a language-model step only where it saves engineer time.

Will the AI change production systems on its own?

Only for actions you list as safe, such as restarting a known service or adding a note to a ticket. Everything else is a suggestion an engineer approves. All actions are logged.

How does this relate to Ontario's cyber security rules?

Since July 1, 2026, O. Reg. 51/26 requires hospitals, colleges, universities, school boards and children's aid societies to report critical cyber incidents within 72 hours after confirmation. Faster triage and incident summaries help meet that clock; the report itself stays with your designated cyber contact.

Can you monitor the AI tools we already deployed?

Yes. We track answer quality on test questions, error and cost per request, and changes after vendor model updates, with alerts to the owner when a measure drifts.

How long does it take?

Six weeks from kickoff. In our experience, read access to monitoring and ticket data and a history of past incidents set the pace.
