AI Readiness Assessment for Canadian Organizations

An AI readiness assessment tells you whether your data, processes, people and systems can support AI today, and what to fix first. Remolda's AI Readiness Review takes one week and costs $490 CAD + HST.

In short

  • Price: $490 CAD + HST, fixed. Invoice from Innova Consulting Group Inc. (Ottawa), paid by Interac e-Transfer or bank transfer.
  • Time: one week. Your side is one 90-minute video session plus any documents you choose to share.
  • Output: a readiness score across six dimensions, a 4–6 page written summary with the three gaps to close first, and 3–5 candidate use cases with a rough effort estimate.
  • Canadian lens: we note where PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25 or sector rules would shape your first use case.
  • The fee is credited if you continue to the AI Opportunity Audit ($2,900) or a larger engagement.

Your situation

Readiness work is useful when a decision about AI is due and nobody has a clear picture of the starting point. Typical requests:

  • The board or owner wants a position on AI within weeks. You need a written view on where AI fits, what it would cost and what blocks it.
  • Staff already use ChatGPT, Copilot or Claude on their own. You want to know the exposure and which uses to formalize.
  • A vendor has pitched an AI product. You want an independent read on fit before you sign a multi-year licence.
  • A first pilot stalled. You want to know whether the blocker was data, process, ownership or the tool itself.

Each of these ends with the same deliverable: a score, a short list of gaps and a first use case worth testing.

What the AI Readiness Review includes

A 90-minute working session. We walk through your operations, systems and current AI use by video. Questions cover where time goes, which documents and decisions repeat, and who would own an AI workflow.

A readiness score across six dimensions. Data, process, people, leadership, infrastructure and culture, each scored with a one-paragraph reason. Scores point to the one constraint that would stall a project first.

A written summary of 4–6 pages. The three gaps to close first, in plain language, with a suggested owner for each.

A shortlist of 3–5 candidate use cases. Each comes with a rough effort estimate and the data it needs. Typical candidates are intake and triage of email, document extraction, internal knowledge search and first drafts of routine reports.

Privacy questions in the summary. Where a use case touches personal information, the summary flags the questions to answer under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 before building.

How long it takes

In our experience the review usually takes one week from the session to the written summary. It depends on how quickly documents arrive, how many teams join and on holidays or other scheduling constraints on your side.

Need more depth? The AI Opportunity Audit takes two weeks and includes 6–10 stakeholder interviews.

What it costs

Why Remolda for an AI readiness assessment

  1. The price is public. You know the cost and the deliverables before the first call.
  2. A Canadian counterparty. The contract and invoice come from Innova Consulting Group Inc., Ottawa. Confidentiality terms sit in the contract.
  3. Vendor-neutral advice. We compare Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude and automation tools such as n8n and Power Automate on fit with your data rules and stack.
  4. Privacy from the first page. Canadian privacy questions are part of the score, so a use case that fails on consent or data residency is visible early.
  5. English or French. Sessions and reports in either language.

How the work runs

The review is the first step of the Remolda Cycle: Audit → Strategy → Implement → Empower → Evolve.

  1. Request. You pick the package on the pricing page or on a 30-minute call. We confirm scope and a date within one business day.
  2. Invoice. Work starts once payment clears.
  3. Session. 90 minutes by video with the people who know the budget, the operations and the systems.
  4. Summary. Score, gaps and use cases in writing within the week.
  5. Decision. You choose the next step, or stop there with a clear position.

Next steps usually lead to an AI roadmap, an AI use policy for staff or a first build such as AI workflow automation. If public money could cover part of the project, the call also covers AI grants and funding in Canada.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI readiness assessment cost in Canada?

Remolda's AI Readiness Review is a fixed $490 CAD + HST for one week of work: a 90-minute session, a six-dimension score and a written summary. A deeper two-week version with stakeholder interviews and a 12-month roadmap, the AI Opportunity Audit, is $2,900 CAD + HST.

What does an AI readiness assessment measure?

It scores six dimensions: data (can the information be found and trusted), process (is the work documented and repeatable), people (skills and time), leadership (who owns AI decisions), infrastructure (systems, access, integrations) and culture (appetite for changing how work is done).

How long does the assessment take?

One week for the Readiness Review. In our experience the written summary usually arrives within five business days of the session; it depends on how quickly documents come in and how many teams are involved.

Who from our side should join the session?

The person who owns the budget, someone who knows the day-to-day operations and someone who knows the systems. Two to five people is a workable group for a 90-minute session.

Do we have to share customer data or system access?

The Readiness Review runs on conversation and documents you choose to share, such as an org chart, process notes or a list of tools. Customer records and system credentials are outside its scope.

What is the difference between the Readiness Review and the Opportunity Audit?

The Readiness Review gives a fast, informed position in one week. The Opportunity Audit spends two weeks inside your workflows, interviews 6–10 people, ranks 10+ use cases with ROI ranges and ends with a 12-month roadmap and a recommended first pilot.

Can the assessment run in French?

Yes. Sessions and written summaries are available in English or French, which matters for Quebec teams and federal organizations with bilingual obligations.

What happens after the assessment?

You keep the summary and decide. Possible next steps are the AI Opportunity Audit, an AI use policy for staff, or a six-week AI Pilot Sprint on the strongest use case. The Readiness Review fee is credited toward the Opportunity Audit, the Pilot Sprint or a larger engagement.
