Frequently asked questions

What is an AI strategy, and who should own it?
An AI strategy is a written plan that says where AI will be used, what results it should produce, what it will cost and which rules apply. It is owned by an executive sponsor, usually the CEO or COO, with IT and privacy at the table.
Do we need an AI strategy if we're already using ChatGPT or Copilot?
Yes, once staff use AI tools at work, the organization needs rules on data, quality and ownership. A short strategy and an AI use policy turn individual experiments into approved, measured use.
How long does it take to produce an AI strategy?
The AI Opportunity Audit produces a ranked use-case map and a 12-month roadmap in two weeks for $2,900 CAD + HST. In our experience strategies covering several departments usually take four to eight weeks, depending on calendars and approvals.
What is an AI readiness assessment, and what does it cover?
An AI readiness assessment is a structured review of whether an organization's data, processes, people, leadership, infrastructure and culture can support AI today. Remolda scores each of the six dimensions with a short reason, names the constraint that would stall a project first and lists 3–5 candidate use cases. The AI Readiness Review takes one week for $490 CAD + HST.
What's the difference between AI strategy and digital transformation?
Digital transformation moves paper and manual steps into software; an AI strategy decides which judgment-heavy tasks, such as reading, sorting, drafting and answering, AI should take on inside that software. Most organizations need both, in that order: AI works on the digital records the earlier work produced.
How does AI strategy connect to compliance and regulation?
Each use case in a Remolda roadmap is checked against the rules that apply to it before it is ranked: PIPEDA or a provincial privacy law, Quebec's Law 25 for automated decisions, the federal Directive on Automated Decision-Making for federal institutions, and sector rules such as OSFI Guideline E-23 for financial institutions. The roadmap marks which use cases can proceed as is, which need extra controls and which are out of scope.
