Predictive Analytics Consulting for Canadian Organizations
Predictive analytics uses your historical data to estimate what is likely next: demand, churn, late payments, equipment failure or wait times. Remolda builds and deploys one explained forecast or risk model in six weeks for $9,800 CAD + HST.
In short
- Price: $9,800 CAD + HST for the six-week AI Pilot Sprint: one forecast or risk model in production.
- Common targets: demand and staffing forecasts, customer churn, late payment, equipment failure, intake volumes and wait times.
- Each prediction comes with its main drivers in plain language, so the person acting on it can judge it.
- Accuracy is tested on past periods the model never saw, and reported before launch.
- Delivered where people already work: Power BI, your CRM or ERP, or a scheduled report.
Your situation
Predictive work is useful when planning depends on a number nobody can estimate with confidence. Typical cases:
- Staffing and stock are set by gut feel. Busy weeks catch the team short; quiet weeks waste budget.
- Customers leave without warning. By the time someone notices, the renewal is lost.
- Receivables slip. Collections start after an invoice is late, never before.
- Equipment fails at the worst time. Maintenance follows the calendar, and breakdowns still happen.
What we build
| Question | Model output | Where it shows up |
|---|---|---|
| How much demand next month? | Forecast with a range, by product, site or service | Power BI or planning sheet |
| Which clients may leave? | Churn score with top reasons | CRM record |
| Which invoices will pay late? | Late-payment risk per invoice | Collections list |
| When will this machine fail? | Failure risk by asset and window | Maintenance schedule |
| How busy will intake be? | Volume and wait-time forecast | Staffing plan |
Forecasts are most useful on a Power BI dashboard the team already reads. When a score feeds a decision about a person, the review step follows the decision support design.
What the AI Pilot Sprint includes
Data check in week one. History, quality and gaps reviewed, with a clear go or no-go on the question.
One model in production. Forecast or risk score retrained on a schedule, with the pipeline that feeds it.
Back-testing on held-out periods. Accuracy reported in business terms before launch.
Plain-language drivers. Each prediction lists the factors that pushed it up or down.
Monitoring and a runbook. Accuracy tracked over time, with an alert when it drifts.
How long it takes
Six weeks from kickoff. In our experience the usual split is two weeks for extraction and cleaning, two weeks for modelling and back-testing, and two weeks of live use. Messy or scattered history, or approvals to access it, can add time; if the data turns out too thin, we say so in week one.
What it costs
The AI Pilot Sprint is $9,800 CAD + HST, fixed, for one model. Cloud and tool usage is billed by the vendor. Still choosing which prediction to build first? The AI Opportunity Audit ($2,900) ranks candidates and is credited toward the Sprint. Full details on the pricing page.
Why Remolda for predictive analytics
- Honest data check. If the data is too thin, you learn it in week one, before budget goes into a weak model.
- Accuracy in business terms. Units, dollars, share of cases flagged.
- Explained predictions. People see why a score is high.
- Fixed price for one model. Scope written before the invoice.
- Your data stays in your environment. Models and pipelines run in your cloud or tools, with the data pipeline documented.
How the work runs
The Sprint covers the Strategy and Implement steps of the Remolda Cycle (Audit → Strategy → Implement → Empower → Evolve).
- Scope call. 30 minutes: the question, the decision it feeds, the data.
- Data check. History extracted and assessed; go or no-go.
- Model and back-test. Accuracy on held-out periods.
- Go live. Predictions delivered where people work.
- Review. Results against the baseline, then go / adjust / stop. Ongoing retraining moves to the Evolve step.
Frequently asked questions
What is predictive analytics?
Predictive analytics uses patterns in historical data to estimate future outcomes or the likelihood of an event, such as next month's demand or the chance a customer leaves. The output is a forecast or a score with a range of uncertainty.
How much does predictive analytics consulting cost?
Remolda's six-week AI Pilot Sprint is $9,800 CAD + HST for one model in production, including data preparation, back-testing, deployment and training. Cloud and tool usage is billed by the vendor.
How much data do we need?
It depends on the question. Monthly demand forecasts usually need two or more years of history to capture seasonality; churn or risk models need enough past cases of the outcome. We check this in the first week and say plainly if the data is too thin.
How do you measure accuracy?
We hold back recent periods, train on the rest and compare predictions with what actually happened. You get the error in business terms, such as units per week or share of at-risk customers correctly flagged.
Can predictions be used to make decisions about people?
They can support decisions, with care. In Quebec, a decision based exclusively on automated processing triggers disclosure duties under Law 25 s. 12.1, so we design a human review step and document it.
What is predictive maintenance?
Predictive maintenance uses sensor readings, run hours and repair history to estimate when equipment is likely to fail, so maintenance is scheduled before a breakdown. It needs reliable sensor or log data from the equipment.
How long does it take?
Six weeks from kickoff. In our experience, data extraction and cleaning take about half of that time.
