Claude Code Training for Development Teams

Claude Code training teaches developers to use Anthropic's agentic coding tool on their own codebase: planning changes, editing across files, running tests and reviewing diffs safely. Remolda runs a two-day workshop plus four weekly coaching sessions.

In short

  • Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool: it reads the codebase, edits files and runs commands, and works in the terminal, IDE, desktop app and browser.
  • Format: a two-day hands-on workshop on your own repositories, then four weekly 90-minute coaching sessions on real sprint work.
  • Covers project instructions (CLAUDE.md), permissions, planning, tests-first changes, code review of AI diffs and secrets handling.
  • Cohorts of 8–12 developers; larger teams run in parallel cohorts. In person in Ottawa or by video, English or French.
  • Priced after a 30-minute call by team size and format; Claude licences or API usage are bought directly from Anthropic.

Your situation

Developers already try AI coding tools. The gap is usually method: when to let the agent act, how to review its changes and what must stay out of it. Typical requests:

  • Seats bought, habits unchanged. A few developers use Claude Code heavily; most use it as autocomplete.
  • Review load went up. AI-written diffs are larger, and reviewers are unsure what to check.
  • Security wants rules. Which repositories, which permissions, what happens with secrets and client data.
  • Legacy code. A large, older codebase where the team wants help with tests, documentation and refactoring.

What the program includes

Two-day workshop on your code. Day 1: setup, permissions, CLAUDE.md project instructions, planning and small changes with tests. Day 2: multi-file refactoring, debugging, working with git branches and pull requests, reviewing AI diffs.

Four weekly coaching sessions of 90 minutes. Developers bring current sprint tasks; we work through them together and adjust the team's instructions and conventions.

Team conventions. A shared CLAUDE.md, permission settings and a checklist for reviewing AI-generated changes.

Security rules. Excluded files and directories, secrets handling, what may be sent to the model under your data classification.

Before-and-after check. Two or three measures agreed up front, such as time on a task type or review turnaround.

Security checklist we set up with your team

  • Permissions. Which commands run without asking, which always need approval, and which are blocked.
  • Excluded paths. Secrets, .env files, keys, client data exports and anything your classification keeps away from external services.
  • Clean environments. Development credentials only; production access stays outside the agent's reach.
  • Review like any pull request. AI-written changes go through the same review and CI checks as human ones, with a checklist for the typical mistakes.
  • Shared conventions. Project rules live in CLAUDE.md in the repository, so every developer's session starts from the same instructions.

How long it takes

In our experience six to seven weeks from the first call to the final check. It depends on team calendars, security approval of the tool and access to a representative repository.

What it costs

The program is quoted after a 30-minute call, based on the number of developers, cohorts and format. Claude seats or API usage are paid directly to Anthropic. For non-developer staff, see Copilot and ChatGPT training for teams. Fixed-price packages are on the pricing page.

Why Remolda for Claude Code training

  1. Your repositories. Exercises run on your code and stack.
  2. Review discipline. A checklist for AI diffs that reviewers actually use.
  3. Security set up with your team. Permissions and exclusions configured, documented and approved.
  4. Coaching after the workshop. Four sessions on real sprint work.
  5. Training and builds from one place. Remolda also builds AI agents and LLM integrations.

How the work runs

Training is the Empower step of the Remolda Cycle (Audit → Strategy → Implement → Empower → Evolve).

  1. Call. Team size, stack, security constraints.
  2. Preparation. Repository review, exercises from your backlog.
  3. Workshop. Two days, hands-on.
  4. Coaching. Four weekly sessions.
  5. Check. Measures compared; conventions handed over.

Frequently asked questions

What is Claude Code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. It reads your codebase, edits files, runs commands and integrates with your development tools, in the terminal, IDE, desktop app or browser. Permission settings decide which actions need the developer's approval.

What does the Claude Code training cover?

Setup and permissions, writing project instructions in CLAUDE.md, planning before editing, test-driven changes, refactoring across files, working with git, reviewing AI-generated diffs, and keeping secrets and personal data out of prompts.

How long is the program?

Two workshop days, then four weekly 90-minute coaching sessions. In our experience the whole program usually runs six to seven weeks from the first call; it depends on team calendars and on access to a representative repository.

How much does Claude Code training cost?

It is quoted after a 30-minute call, based on the number of developers, cohorts and delivery format. Claude seats or API usage are paid to Anthropic directly.

Is it safe to use Claude Code on proprietary or government code?

It depends on your contract with Anthropic, your data classification and internal policy. We configure permissions, exclude sensitive files, and teach the review discipline; your security team decides which repositories are in scope.

Do developers need prior AI experience?

Working knowledge of git and your stack is enough. The first workshop morning covers setup and basic use; the rest is practice on real tasks.

Do you also train on GitHub Copilot or other coding tools?

The program focuses on Claude Code. Teams that use several tools get a comparison session on when to use which, within your approved tool list.
